STAKE F1 TEAM KICK SAUBER

Stake F1 Team KICK Sauber, was one of the more influential Teams on the F1 Grid. The team was short lived as a temporary restructuring for the struggling Sauber brand. with the departure of Alfa Romeo within the team, this allowed Stake to take full naming rights over the team and make it their own. With this a new identity exploded into the paddock with a humorous, unserious approach to F1 Lifestyle.

Social Engagements flourished in popularity with drivers and team members showing great enthusiasm to create engaging, fun, and sometimes weird content, that allowed viewers to really connect with the team. SF1TKS came into each season not thinking they would achieve much but achieved multiple points and most famously a podium at the British Grand Prix, with Niko Hulkenberg getting his first ever podium.

My role was to create 3D content for both Social Media and Internal use cases to promote the car or race weekend. Whilst most of my work was start to finish with me, my work was highly collaborative in other areas helping create supporting visuals in video edits, or graphic designs.

Stake were an amazing client that were open to suggestions on content, no matter how wacky it was. this really allowed myself and my creative team to really come up with content we knew would do well. For me, this could be making the F1 car twerk to music, have the cars play tennis at Wimbledon or having influencers at the track smash holes in the wall of the paddock.

Not only was I creating Social Content, I also created many long form videos for the team. This content was a little more grounded and was a little more serious than our social content. Valtteri Bottas was once interviewed about how he would describe his dream track. to which he described a mountainous scene through the woods, with winding roads and mountain chalet pit buildings. this is still one of my favourite pieces of content I have created for the team.

Other content was spent creating race Visuals for the upcoming race weekend, whilst the team principle talks about upgrades, and areas they plan to exploit. This was one of the more challenging projects I have to do as it was extremely tight  deadlines with an amazing amount of work to achieve in that timeframe.

Supporting graphic designs was another large part of my role to help elevate certain aspects of designs. This would normally be necessary if we cannot get images of what we require or if it is not possible to recreate without the use of 3D. some of these pieces included an F1 car wrapped in Christmas wrapping paper, laying a steak on top of an F1 wheel,  or having the car in view from a particular angle that otherwise wouldn't be achieved in person.
